Together with Love: Let's Be Hope for Our Street and Shelter Animals!

In 2013, shelter volunteers who started working as volunteers at the Urla Municipality Temporary Animal Care and Rehabilitation Center made efforts to improve the existing conditions of the shelter by holding meetings with local government. From that year to the present, our shelter volunteers have been going to the shelter in an organized manner 5 days a week, primarily focusing on the adoption of puppies, taking the sick ones to private clinics for treatment, following up on adopted puppies, walking the banned breeds that stay permanently in the shelter, and working to raise awareness through social media channels.
Each volunteer dealing with street animals takes care of area feeding in Urla and surrounding regions, sterilization of dogs in the areas they feed, and treatment of sick ones.
Until today, since Urla Shelter volunteers were not an association, they have been trying to meet these activities only with their own financial means in terms of financial resource provision and, as you will agree, they were trying to reach a large number of shelter children with extremely limited means. Based on this need, Urla Shelter Volunteers Association (URBADER) was established on 12.09.2024 and aims to be life to many more lives.
URBADER, which held its first general assembly on 21.10.2024, as the elected board of directors; our primary goal is to do our best to provide the best living conditions for both our lives living in the shelter and those on the streets, in cooperation with official and private institutions in our region.
